1280x800

playing games at this res is just wrong all the games i've plaved on my hp zt3020ea look stretched and they dont have a res choice of 1280x800 so no way to fix that, anyone know of an app that can well cut the screen size temp for games and apps, the only choice i hav now is to play games windowed, it horrible

Of course its stretched - you've got the aspect ratio all mucked up. The standard resolutions would be 1280x1024, 1152x864 and 1024x768. Set your display to one of these.

Laptops displays don't react particularly well to resolutions other than their native one - usually 1024x768.

i know that its playing in 16:9 but none of the games allow me to select anything other than 4:3 res's.

I'm guessing this is a widescreen laptop? Doesn't look so pretty now, does it?

ati 9200 w/64mb, 15.4" 16:9 Widescreen laptop, it seems gta vc and nfs hp2 have options for 16:9 screens, at least thats all i can find for now, maybe witht the increase in 16:9 screens more games will have this option
