[RESOLVED] Prometeus Cyber Modem PNP vs DUN HELP !!!

WIN95 OSR2

Voice Modem installed fine.

Works with Hyperterminal ect.

Dial Up Networking says "modem not responding"

Reinstall DUN and DUN 1.3b upgrade don't
help.Problem also occurred OSR1.Used modem drivers from windrivers.com.

By any chance did you check to make sure that you DUN is configured to use the new modem?

Yup,

DUN lists the one and only modem by name.

This is a wierd problem !

Try unchecking the "wait for a dial tone" I have seen this also cause some bizarre messages.

Nope.

It never gets to the modem to check dial tone.

I found the old WIN 3.1 terminal program
will access modem as com port.

The Win 95 only will list as name not COM port.

PNP problem ? OLE/ActiveX problem ?

I am going to try setting up modem with the
DOS/WIN 31 PNP drivers, so it hopefully
will list with a com port or just work better.
