Compaq driver issue
I installed Windows 2000 on my Compaq Presario 5000 series (model # 5WV280), erasing Windows ME. I had formatted my hard drive to do this. Unfortunately, I've lost my modem and don't know which driver to use. Is there any easy way to "recognize" my modem?
Please let me know if you need additional info to help solve this one.
Thanks

I found two Win2000 drivers for your Presario:
<a href="http://web14.compaq.com/falco/sp_syn.asp?detail=yes&recid=SP17011" target="_blank">Presario Conexant HCF V.90 56K Data Fax PCI Modem Driver for Windows ME/2000</a>
<a href="http://web14.compaq.com/falco/sp_syn.asp?detail=yes&recid=SP16794" target="_blank">Presario PC-Tel Platinum Connect HSP56 Micromodem Drivers for Windows 2000</a>
Just select which one that is installed in your unit...hopefully, one of them will work for you.
Good Luck!
