Pakistan's prime minister-designate Shaukat Aziz survived an assassination attempt Friday while campaigning in a by-election, witnesses and officials said.
Aziz, currently finance minister, was coming out of a campaign meeting when a bomb went off, witnesses said.

This in a country where the President just recently survived two bomb assasination attempts.
And Pakistan has nukes. If the government should fall to Islamic extremists that would really be scary.

If Pakistan falls to Islamic Extremists the cause will be that we invaded Iraq. Pakistani Muslims were never really our allies, our ally was Musharraf. I have seem numerous stories about how the Pakistanis turned against Musharraf for his "support" (weak as it was) for our Iraq invasion.
So not only have we destabilized Iraq but lets pray we didn't destabilize nuclear, islamic Pakistan.
