Al-Qaeda biggie lied to get U.S. to attack Iraq.

A senior leader of Al Qaeda who was captured in Pakistan several months after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was the main source for intelligence, since discredited, that Iraq had provided training in chemical and biological weapons to members of the organization, according to American intelligence officials.

Intelligence officials say the detainee, Ibn al-Shaykh al-Libi, a member of Osama bin Laden's inner circle, recanted the claims sometime last year, but not before they had become the basis of statements by President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and others about links between Iraq and Al Qaeda that involved poisons, gases and other illicit weapons.

From the very beginning I have been quoting intelligence officers whose job it was to find out about Al-Qaeda. Every one of them said Bin Laden hates Saddam more than Bush. Because Saddam was Muslim and a traitor. Bush was merely an infidel.
So how could ANYONE believe this Al-Qaeda guy without some corroboration? He had a huge reason to lie to blame Saddam. Yet here is where the Bushies failed. This points to either supreme incompetance or supreme bias on the Bushies.
We were attacked by Al-Qaeda. Then instead of going all out after Al-Qaeda we attack Al-Qaedas enemy Iraq.
Bin Laden and his hoods are laughing their asses off at us.
As Mr. Spock would ask "Where's the logic in that?"
And while we have 140,000 troops doing Bin Ladens dirty work in Iraq he just tried to assinate the Pakistani PM desiginee.
HOW STUPID ARE WE? WHY ARE WE FIGHTING THE WRONG FOE?
