This is a Rockwell HCF 56K Modem...but can anyone tell me the manufacturer? I need drivers! but none of the ID searches works.

You don't need the MFG to get a driver for it. All Rockwell HCF modems take the same drivers. Get version 2.1.2.135 from <a href="http://www.zoltrix.com/index4.htm"> here</a>. It's known as the "Spirit 56K".
You can try all the other drivers there too, from 2.1.2.127 up to 2.1.2.156.xxx
The 135 is the most stable.
Add this init:
+MS=V90,1,300,33600,40000,56000
and try your connect.
