    ensoniq driver

I am sorry if this has been answered before but I did a serch and could not find info on this model. I need to find a driver for a ensoniq sound card. The card says 9538 E119681 I am not sure if this is the actual model number but if you can point me to a different area of the card to look at I can tell you what it says but I think this is it. When windows 98SE finds it, it calls it a esoniq soundscape but does not find any info for it. If any of you could direct me to a driver for this card it would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Iatech

It does appear to be an Ensoniq Soundscape. Ensoniq was acquired by Creative in 1997. While Creative has drivers for the Ensoniq Audio PCI cards, they do not have drivers for the older ISA cards (this is an ISA card, no?). The Ensoniq web site is no longer up. If the native windows driver does not work, you could try the soundscape drivers here: http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/companies/372.htm. THESE ARE UNSUPPORTED DRIVERS - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    Might get lucky here:

    E-MU Systems
    http://www.emu.com/support/files/dow...753&Platform=1

...ENSONIQ consists of two parts: The Musical-Instruments division and the multimedia division. 220 employees worked for ENSONIQ in 1994. ... In 1997 ENSONIQ was bought for 77 million US-$ by CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY. In summer 1998 a cooperation with E-MU SYSTEMS was decided and EMU-ENSONIQ MUSIC AND AUDIO SYSTEMS was founded. Yet both brands stay visible."

Ensoniq also produced a high-end harddisk recording system for x86 PCs called Paris, that was around 1997. Much cheaper than Paris but still rather expensive, from 1994 on Ensoniq offered the Soundscape soundcard line...
