No Audio Device Found
Hey guys, this problem just started occuring today. For some reason windows media player along with any other media player that plays sound, does not recognize my sound card and therefor does not play any audio. However, the sound on my computer is still working everywhere else. For example, the sound on msn are still working and also the welcome and goodbye sounds on windows are also working. The error message displayed on my Windows Media Player reads as follows "cannot playback the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding."
So I have two questions for you, first of all how do I find out what kind of soundcard I have, because the problem is this....I'm living on university residence and all my computer documents are at home. So is there anyway I can find out what my soundcard is using some resources on my computer?
My second question is. How do I solve this problem once I find out the name of my soundcard?
Thank you in advance.
