You are asking whether you can network them? Yes, make them members of the same workgroup, setup users with similar passwords on both, grant appropriate group memberships, then it's just a matter of what do you want to share...

You cannot install your existing copy of Pro on the Home PC. You would need to purchase the XP Pro Version Upgrade. Home to Pro is a legitimate upgrade path.

I bought My computer in New Zealand second hand and it came with the pro version I've just bought a new computer here in the states and it has home: I don't know anything about licences!

Are we getting touchy here? I don't even know how to find the license number, I searched the system?

Run-->Regedit and then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion and you should find it in the list of keys on the right-hand side. (Look for Product Key)

The point everyone is trying to make is that the copy of windows that came with each computer is legal on that computer only. If you want to install xp pro on the computer that has home, you will need to buy another copy.

the serial # starting with the letters "fckgw" are indeed a good indicator of a pirated license number, they are not an abbreviation for a curse word, in case you suspect freddy of flaming you.

gotta love those Micro$oft serial numbers
