toshiba 5005 white screen
hi everybody i'v got a toshiba laptop 5005-s504 runing xp-sp2 with
nvidia geforce2go with no known mechanical traumas . the monitor goes
white on start up. external monitor runs ok .but after trying to change screen settings it become worse,now external monitor work only on safe mode,beside this laptop runs normal.
any ideas\help will be most appreciated!

Welcome to windrivers avcaf. Does the display show the boot screen? How about booting to safe mode or a dos boot disk? If none of the above work, it is likely a hardware issue.

Looks as if the ribbon has become detached betwwen the base and the LCD
Usual outcome is the White screen and yes you will get no boot screen either.
Return for repair unless you fancy pulling it apart yourself.

thanks constructor & hudsonsmith it was the back screen connector that
slipped out from its socket. plugged it back and cavok.
