    Nothing Appears on Monitor!

    Hi:

I just installed a new CD Recorder last night and I plugged my computer in right after I had the burner in and it worked fine. Now nothing happens after the PC is turned on. The green light on the monitor flashes on and off. The CD burner opens and closes, but the floppy drive doesnt read like it should after the PC is started.

    Specs:
    Dell Dimension L Series
    Windows XP
    384 MB RAM
    40 GB hard drive
    Intel 810 Chipset

    Thanks

You may have tried this but check all your exterior connections. You might also crack open the case and reseat your PCI/AGP devices(i.e., video, sound, etc.)

    No Display

I definately checked the monitor connections numerous times. Reseat the cards as in taking them out and putting them back in? I'm guessing the motherboard went bad somehow because I had 4 lights labeled 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D' and none of them come on when everything is connected ( i.e. mouse, keyboard, monitor, etc. ) I will be mad if the motherboard went. If that's the case what would have caused that?
