The driver detected a controller error....

When playing games the game stops running and Im back at the desktop. In Event Viewer there is an error saying -The driver detected a controller error on \device\cdrom1. This is happening in Win 2000.

Welcome to Windrivers VegasGMC

What motherboard do you have? Have you updated the drivers for it?

What service pack have you loaded for windows 2000?

Did you install this cd drive yourself?
