Problem Installing Power Dvd Software-Desperate!

Hi Guys,

Iam running under Windows Xp.Had some problems with my PowerDvd Software .So was trying to Uninstall my Cyberlink PowerDvd & the following message arrived).

***********************************
An installation support file
C:..\..\Temp\_IsRes.dll could not be installed.
The system cannot find the file specified...
************************************

Then tried to install the software with out uninstalling it,same message appeared.

Tried deleting things in the "Temp" folder,& run the installation. No Sucess(was able to delete everything from Temp apart from 1 file).Tried to delete this file by closing down all running programs. But It was not getting deleted.

My questions are
[1]What should I do to install the software..I have administrative rights.
Was trying to install the PowerDVD xp 4.0 version.

[2]I tried to run my DVD on windvd.but when I pressed "Play" after loading the windvd manually ,nothing happens.
In myWIN dvd properties, the autoplay is set.also the correct dvd drive is given....
what could be the problem

Would be nice if some one could give a hand

Any help is appreciated..
Thanks

Welcome to Windrivers pazzuzu

Where did you get this copy of powerdvd? This is a problem with the windows installer. Have you loaded service packs 1 and 2 for XP?

Reload service pack 2 even if you have it already, then try adding powerdvd again.
