    all i get when i scan now is a blacked out preview ie all black and now it doesnt even show up in my computer ... help plase... i dont want to buy a new one, well to be honest the missus wont let me lol...

    Have you gone to Umax support and checked for new drivers? It sounds like the Twain driver has barfed...
