HP Jet Direct Cards
Anyone got any ideas on how to reset the configuration on a jet direct card without having it tied to the network. We have one that has been duplicated (IP Address duplicated) and it has things all fouled up. We need to reset it somehow.

Hi,
You didn't mention what model number...so, I wasn't able to chase down your particular problem.
However, you might try HP's web site below...maybe you'll be able to find what you're looking for:

Good Luck!

Hi Again,
You also didn't mention what type of printer...depending on which model number it is, you might be able to go into the EIO (Enhanced Input/Output) menu. These and other parameters can also be configured through HP JetAdmin.
Go to "CFG TCP/IP=NO"...change to YES and the TCP/IP menu appears. If you specify "BOOTP=NO", you can manually select parameters from the control panel. NOTE: If no IP address is assigned within the first 5 minutes, the HP JetDirect card will assume a default IP address of 192.0.0.192.
Hope this helps out...Good Luck!
