    Old HP 882C

My old HP Deskjet 882C won't print the Delivery Address on #10 envelopes. It does print a Return Address. I've examined all the settings, etc., and called HP tech support which doesn't offer any support whatsoever, except to tell me to trade-in my printer for a 5740 ($60) or an 8150 ($100). Is a trade-in my only option? No printing problems otherwise.
Thanks for any help for a newbie to this forum.

    Hi jax713,

It sounds like it isn't the printer.

Which application are you trying to print from? Is it M$ Word? Go to Tools/Letters & Mailings/Envelopes & Labels. Select Envelopes/Options. Make sure that Size 10 is selected. Click on the Printing Options tab. Usually, it will ask for you to feed the envelope in the middle of the manual feed tray...2nd from the right. You might play with different orientations here.

Let us know how it ends up. Good Luck!

    Still not working

Hi Don - Thanks so much for your reply. I have selected all the proper settings within Word. In the past, since I've owned the printer, I never had to select an envelope size...the printer knew what was being fed. But I did try selecting the #10 option and it made no difference. I went through all the steps on HP's web site for troubleshooting blank pages which was the closest situation to what I'm experiencing. Because it prints the return address info just fine, it seems like the printer is ignoring what is in the delivery address field. I must be overlooking something that got de-selected because it just makes no sense. I am now wondering if I should uninstall the printer and re-install it. I've been avoiding that because it's such a pain: it's such a strict sequence of when to plug in the power, USB cable, etc.

You almost certainly don't have a printer driver problem, but you need to look at the application you're printing from. Which, per DonJ's question, is...?

Microsoft Word 2000 v. 9.0---- And to reiterate, it worked fine until a few months ago. Something's been "undone" in the Delivery Address field and I'm stumped.
