ThinkPad R31..Clean install?
I have an R31 Thinkpad that i inherited from my father. It is loaded with proprietary software from his business that we no longer need or use. We have removed and archieved any neccesaryfiles from the machine, but want to jsut start over with it. We dont have the original disks that came with it.
Is there a way to do a clean install of XP, do i need driver disks from IBM.

Yes you can
here are the drivers you may need There are also a few bios and firmware updates, do these before putting xp on... it will make xp installation easier.
