You'll have to explain at least 50% of that statement to me, Tom cruise I can understand, as all his film plots are the same, guy with 'x job' loses confidence, sulks a lot, meets 'fit' woman, & then recovers his confidence .. katie holmes though isn't famous enough for me to know much about other than she fits the 'fit' bit

Are you sure you mean Tom Cruise? I mean, like him or not, I certainly can not agree with your stereotype of his filmography. Just check the list:
• Mission: Impossible 3 (2006)
• War of the Worlds (2005)
• Collateral (2004)
• The Last Samurai (2003)
• Narc (2002)
• Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
• Minority Report (2002)
• Space Station (2002)
• Vanilla Sky (2001)
• Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)
• Magnolia (1999)
• Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
• Jerry Maguire (1996)
• Mission: Impossible (1996)
• Interview With the Vampire (1994)
• The Firm (1993)
• A Few Good Men (1992)
• Far and Away (1992)
• Days of Thunder (1990)
• Born on the Fourth of July (1989)
• Rain Man (1988)
• Cocktail (1988)
• Legend (1986)
• The Color of Money (1986)
• Top Gun (1986)
• All the Right Moves (1983)
• The Outsiders (1983)
• Risky Business (1983)
• Losin' It (1982)
• Endless Love (1981)
• Taps (1981)

overexposed in his views (re: Scientology and his recent "fling" with Katie Holmes). As a person I think he is a scumbag..I do like his movies. I used to feel an "affinity" with him because he has dyslexia also. Not anymore. My 2cents.

AGREED! Too bad he can't just "shut up" like Travolta about that Scientology crap.
BUT...-ed, the trend you mentioned in your other post, is NOT the trend you speak of now. If you want to talk about actors/actresses in that general way, well, you may as well talk about them all. Tom Cruise has not been typecast in his roles!!! Simple as that. :butt:

It gets really ridiculous when they start haunting pc tech support sites and posting threats to Denmark in Bios/Motherboard forums....
