    Post LEXMARK Z53 & XP

I have a Lexmark Z53 and have download the XP drivers for it off the Lexmark website but I am having probs.

When I try to print I get a message saying that the printer connected is not A Lexmark Z53 and at other times I get a message that the printer is not communicating but if I keep and try to print it will print eventually but this is a headache.

Anyone had any probs like this I have tried visiting the Lexmark site to see if they have any newer drivers but the site seems dead. The version of the drivers and software I asm using is 1.0.9.1.

    Thanks

2 things with printers, drivers and the lpt port settings. If it is on a parallel port make sure the port is set to epp or ecp in the bios. Then put the correct driver on.

Try this driver from the lexmark website. It should be the english for your country version.

That site is a pain in the nuts. I see why you had issues with it.

Did you UNINSTALL, not delete, your old drivers before you installed the new ones? IF not you could have a driver conflict that could slow down your machine.
