    Angry Mouse problem

    Hiya there,
I have a small problem and have no clue how to fix it nor what might be wrong. My mouse and sometimes keyboard does not work (and it's not the mouse nor the port)
I re-installed windows and it works fine untill I restart....then mouse just stops...this happenes every time I have to restart so I have to re--install windows all over again( I use repair )...
    Can anyone help?

    THANKS a milion

    PS2 or USB

is it a PS2 Mouse or a USB Mouse. It could be the keyboard causing the mouse to not work. Do you have a USB mouse you can use? Or another PS2 mouse and keyboard?

In the past I have seen a faulty PS2 device such as a keyboard or mouse make the other PS2 device not work. It could be a small short in the wires or in the port itself. I would try a new keyboard and mouse and if that doesn't help get USB ones. The only caution I have there is some older PCs lack the support for USB keyboards in BIOS screens and in DOS mode. You may want to check your BIOS to see if Legacy USB support or support for USB keyboards is turned on before you attempt attaching a USB keyboard.
