pass thru wireless with security ?
I have a Belkin wireless router f5d7230-4 connected to a linksys rt31p2 wired router with phone lines. I have the Belkin set up as pass through to two computers noted below. Can I still use wireless security on the network cards and be secure ??? Running win xp sp1 on one computer and win98se on the other. Thanks

Geezer
I'd have thought so yes .. all the wireless encryption stuff is doing is securing the signal that 'goes to air', once its back inside a wire, then its a different set of security stuff you need to be looking at if you have concerns about that.
EDit: Oh hang on, maybe you are on about wep vs wpa ? 98 doesn't come with wpa (the more secure of the two), you can add it, but its not so simple & I may regret telling you that, if you ask me how !

Sorry being so late getting back with you. Yes I am only concerned security in the air. I think securitywould be transmitted with everything else even if it is not on the wap.
