Ok I have two wireless routers I have been messing with. They both suffer from the same problem. They are both seemingly stuck as switches. Whenever I try to connect them to a LAN and comp I go directly through without any access to the router page. When I try connecting just to the router no internet it shows up as a 169 IP on the comp. I am unable to try to connect wirelessly as can't turn it on and I have tried to do multiple restarts/restore default settings using the back button to no avail. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

One router is a Netgear WGR614 and other is a US Robotics Maxg router.
