HELP!!! connected cant browse after removing newdotnet

HELP! my laptop has a very good connection yet i can't browse to any pages after removing newdotnet. whenever i ping www.yahoo.com it says its pinging www.kimo.com.tw i cant go to any pages. wat to do???

i've already done deleting the cookies and cache. installed spybot search and destroy which deleted the newdotnet adaware. the thing is i tried pinging and here are the results....

first i did ipconfig....
ip address is ok
subnet mask is ok
default gateway is ok

the i tried pinging www.yahoo.com then it says

btw im using a toshiba centrino satellite laptop running on win xp. our bldg has a router on the first floor and im on the 2nd floor and im picking up a very good signal. i was able to browse this morning when the page went white though i can see on the system tray that the connection is still there. the newdotnet thing just messed up my setup bigtime.

im so frustrated. spent hours to fix this damn laptop. anybody help pls..... i dont want to reformat windows!!!!!

Go back to spybot and restore newdot.net and then uninstall it with their uninstaller

That doesn't always restore the TCP/IP stack or reset the hosts file appropriately. An easier fix is Winsockxpfix A free utility that is functional and easy to use.
