    Networking in 98

    Greetings:

I have a Belkin F5D7010 version 4 in a vintage dell latitude. It sees my linksys router and it has been configured for WPA as are my other laptop. Regrettably, I cannot get on to the internet. There seem to be DNS problems. This is a new install of W98 second edition. When checking DNS I had to chose a host name. I gave an arbitrary name. Is this my mistake? Belking has been useless with email and phone support. The OS has IE5 and I cannot upgrade because I have yet to configure a pcmcia modem/ network card. I understand that anything less than 128bit encryption would yield a problem but the kind of problem is not specified, Any guidance would be appreciated greatly

Well obviously you have access to the net so why not download and burn to a cd, move to a usb stick or some such and then do the update
