When I turn the printer on it beeps and reads 'E2'. That is if I don't not have the printer connected to anything, and when the printer is connected to the computer and the computer is on.. <u>BUT</U>, if it is connected to the computer and the computer is <u>OFF</u>, it does not give me the error message. As soon as the computer boots, it gives me 'E2' again. I've done this on a DOS Win3.1 machine and a Win98 machine. Have any ideas???

Have you made sure the parallel port is set to SPP and not ECP/EPP?

Yes, I have. Everything is set right. I've done some research and have found out what parts need to be replaced. Thanks for your help!!
