No pop-up when connecting

My mom got a replaced XP HP being her other one died. Now on the old one when she hooked up her Olympus camera to the USB port you hear a ding then the XP menu on what program would like to use like MS imageing to download picture etc. would show up.
Now with this new one all you hear is the ding but no pop-up menu. Is there a setting in control panel or someplace to have the menu pop-up.

Yes.
But it's not user friendly as using the Camera wizard. I guess what I'm not seeing is scanner and camera wizard under accessories.

Seem like the program Scanner & Camera wizard doesn't recognize the Olympus , 32 megapixel , D- 535 zoom camera. I only see the scanner that she has hooked to the computer.
