Notepad not responding
I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum, but I am new here. My notepad stops responding when I am trying to save the Host file. I end up having to restart my computer.
Thank you for help,
Lora

Welcome to WinDrivers:
Goto START>RUN and type sfc /scannow - you will need your WinXP CD OR will need to redirect the query to your i386 folder (set hide system files to off, ie, unchecked) in order to fix the corrupted windows system files, if found by scan.
Try that.

I was not given an option to redirect the query. Where can I get a CD for Windows XP SP2 Profesional?

Great job could you give us a description on how you found and corrected your registry. Just so we all could learn from it
