cant remove .net framework 1.1
My notebook has XP home.
I am trying to uninstall .net framework 1.1 so I can reinstall it with the service pack updates.
I tried to uninstall it from add/remove programs.
It still has .net framework in the list of programs, but it has no size, and if you
try to uninstall it again, it says you cant uninstall it because it is not installed.
Its still in the registry.
Any ideas on the correct way to fully remove it?

What sometimes works in these situations is to download and install it again - then reboot and once more go to add/remove and get rid of it.

Try to remove the files manually from your windows file on C: . Check the .Net files first to see if there might be an uninstall icon there for 1.1. If that doesn't work you may have other problems. Also after uninstalling shut everything down and reboot right away don't start messing around with other things.

This is what I have in my directories and in the registry
C:
windows
microsoft .net
framework
v1.03705
v1.1(2)4322
v1.1.4322
v2.050727
In the registry:
Software
microsoft
.net framework
pending updates
v1.1.4322
policy
v2.0.50727
Where would I look for an uninstall program?
Which directories and registry entries should I remove?

You should try what I suggested - however, here is guidance:

Depending on the Windows OS that you have maybe take a look at this link:
microsoft.com
It may not be recommended to uninstall, read a few options at the link provided first. Keep me updated.
