lost legacy aduio drivers
I have a PIV WinXP with Sp2.
I lost my legacy audio drivers. I thought I was restoring them from my driver back-up file but obviously it was the wrong files, When I restarted, the entire folder was gone when I looked in Control Panel/Sound Volume & Control Panel/System/hardware/device manager.
I don't notice any problems. My mp3 & midi files play. My DXDiag & sound card tests are OK too.
What are the legacy audio drivers used for?
Do I need to replace them? If so How, where?
Thx
