    Resolved [RESOLVED] Iomega Zip 100Mb

    Please can anyone help?

I have just purchased the iomega zip 100 and i'm having a problem, when i try to do a back up. The problem is that when i start a backup windows locks up, i have a canon bjc 3000 connected via usb and when i remove this, back up works ok without locking up. Can anyone help as unplugging my printer cable everytime i do a backup is time consuming as i have to shut computer down to do this. Your Advice and opinions are much appreciated.

Im afraid I don't know the reason for your lockup, but you don't have to shut the computer dowb to remove anything USB. Just disconnect it.

Most USB devices that lock up your computer or won't shut down your computer properly, I find are, BIOS related.
Do you have the most recent bios update for your motherboard?

    Hi,
The link below will take you to Canon's web site for drivers for this printer...

    http://209.85.7.18/techsupport.php?q...dows&p=bjc3000

Also, you might have the option of hooking your printer up via the parallel port...would save you from having to disconnect it from the USB buss. Just an idea...

    Anyway, Good Luck!
