Missing Network Monitor
I have not got the network monitor in the taskbar even though my new instal of XP Pro is online. Where is it?
My keyboard is transposing " with @ how do I correct this please?

OK keyboard - you have a us english keyboard installed instead of a uk english. Which probably means you also have us-english as your default language. You need to change the language and keyboard in regional and language settings in control panel.
Network monitor - do you mean the two little computers which show you whether a cable is unplugged or it's connected? If so, you need to go into network connections in control panel, right click the relevant network connection, select properties and check the boxes to show the icon in taskbar

Thanks Noo I got the monitor which is now on my taskbar.
I already had UK English installed clicked all options for UK so don't know why I have the wrong things.

There's one setting on setup that hides quite well for input language I think...I noted you posted in the keyboard thread, so are you sorted now?

Yes thanks Noo all working properly now and having fun configuring my new copy of Windows and reinstalling everything. Drivers went on like a dream.
