new backup system question
My company is looking into getting a new system for backup. We are running an NT network and we use Bckup Exec for daily full backups.
We currently use DDS tapes and backup a total of about 37GB each day.
We are considering getting a DLT system and an AIT2 system. We would want the system to be able to backup a minimum of 80gb as we are expecting growth in our disk usage in the near future (new server and applications...).
What do you recommend - either system or another which we do not know about?
Thanks
Rafi

take a look at exabytes site and check out the mammoth m2. they've got a 60/150 drive that might fill your needs.. the biggest compaq drive does 40/80 (and i've heard that they don't corrupt data now) so you'd need a pair of them to guarantee 80 gig of backup.. or, they also have ait, dds, dat, and dlt libraries but i'd be willing to bet the dlt libraries are out of your budget for 80 gig of backup. they are really sweet tho.. the TL891 is nice.
