creative pci 128
about 3 weeks ago i posted with a problem of having no sound, i was given help by the members but to no avail. i have now found against my device driver i have a message of
ntkern.vxd, mmdevldr.vxd device loaders for the device could not load the device (code 2)
any suggestions as to what this means
i have tried creatives download but still not working,i have also checked its intalation and that is correct. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

what kind of SOund Card, you could start by deleting your sound card out of device manager and reloading the original drivers that came with it , then try updating them. and see if it still happens. also check if there are any IRQ conflicts.

Code 2 errors are addressed in the Microsoft Support Knowledge Base. Read <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q125/1/74.asp" target="_blank">this</a> and it'll recommend that you remove the sound drivers from within Device Manager, restart, and either let Windows try to re-detect the hardware or use the Hardware Wizard to get it working properly... <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
