TX pro II MotherBoard M571
Iam trying to upgrade my BIOS and Don't have a clue on how to do it. Can anyone help me? I need to know which "Flash ROM BIOS" jumper to change...? I have the BIOS utility program already and the file update. Thanks for any help at all....

shouldn't need to change any jumpers to do it.
Just run the flash program from DOS and them point it to the update when it asks for it.

Just make sure you read the instructions VERY carefully, otherwise you could end up with a dead motherboard. You will have to boot from an MS DOS Floppy with no autoexec.bat or config.sys, and then run the bios upgrade util. Check that you .bin file (new bios) is readable, copy it to your hard disk to test it is. If the bios update util can't read the last part of the .bin image once it's started over writing your existing bios, then you will have BIG problems.

go to www.pcchips.com , that is who makes the board. and get the bios update from them .

I have that motherboard and updated the BIOS because a benchmarking program said I should. While I did not have any problems it did not make a bit of difference in performance. The latest update I could find is 4-21-99. If you need to update to get a piece of hardware to run then do it. Otherwise it is best to leave it alone, if there are any gliches while you're flashing it you will be buying a new board.
