    just reformated xp home and now no soundcard?

    Hi we have just had to reformat lots of probs and now after all that we have no soundcard? and all sorts of problems and we just dont know where to or what to do..please please help!! I have a snap shot of this error when trying to play music: Cannot play back the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding. (Error=80040256) aaarrrggghhh!!!!

    yes I know..i have 3 kiddys!
    sorry forimpatience but it has been a very very frustrating day, please i do sincerely appologise.
    yes we have real tek but i dont know what to do sorry my mind is just about fried!

    thanx guys

    i am going to try reloading windows coz the pc not only now has minor + mojor probs it seems to boot itself back up when shut down..so very very annoying!!!see how we go..treating it like a whole new day!!! hehehe
