Latest sun java not stable
Updated few computers to latest java (Ver 6 update 7) to find it missing some components (Imaging) and non stable (Throws me out of IE7 window with java content).
Updated to Ver 6 Beta 10 in order to solve Throwing out, Will look regarding other problem in the next few days.

Sun Java crashes way too much. Try playing yahoo games, it will crash on both FF and IE, browser stops responding. If I switch IE to M$ Java I have no problems at all. Same with many other apps...

Well, maybe, but you gotta love the way Java updates fail to clean up after themselves; so you're left with the old versions along with their security issues still on your drive unless you dig them out. Not to mention how this sometimes interferes with applets running correctly until you expunge the old versions.
Are you trying to say you don't relish an opportunity to perform (what should be) useless maintenance on your computers? What about the chance to get a free office suite with your update? Anyway, the more things I have running in the background constantly looking for updates to fix holes that shouldn't be there to begin with, the happier I am. I love the update treadmill and never want to get off.
