    Question jakes55

    Recently i purchased a used computer, a Compaq Presario SR1000. When i started it up everything seemed ok so i played around on it then shut it off. The next day i had reformat it and the next day again i had to reformat it. Once i finished re-downloading everything i realized i didnt have any sound thru my speakers so borrowed my sons headset and still no sound. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong.

    you need to go to compaq and download the software to n allow the sound card to work.

    Choose the particular model on the above link then whatever windows and then download the sound drivers
