Outlook Email Not Deleteing
I'm not good with outlook so here is the problem. When the customer deletes the email it only puts a line through it. What setting needs to be changed to fix this?
Never mind I think I found it here. I was in a hurry. http://helpdesk.rpi.edu/update.do?artcenterkey=663

Hehehe. Didn't quite spend enough time on google before I posted.
Hmmmm, I was going over this and I do not see the purge deleted messages in my edit menu and no way to add it as they are saying, is this because I'm not using IMAP and they will be there if you are?

Correct. Think of IMAP as a one way synchronisation with the mail server, where as pop is a straight download.
If you are downloading messages you can either leave a copy on the server or delete after download. With Synchronisation if you delete a mail locally, you need a method of showing that you have deleted locally but not from the server and therefore another method of deleting from the server as well. Some mail clients will do it in one hit... but then what happens if you have hit the wrong button?
It seems clumsy under IMAP when you are used to POP3, but it is better to do it in two stages in case of mistake.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
