have wireless connection want second wired router
I have a linksys wrt54g and a wrtP54g.
The wrtp54g is for a vonage phone.
I'm getting my internet connection through the wrt54g using a wireless connection.
I have the wrtp54g ethernet wire connected to the same computer.
I cant plug the wrtP54g into the wrt54g. They are in different locations.
I tried this before when I had a sprint wireless modem as the internet source.
I used network connections to set it up.
I think there was something about setting up a bridge between the wireless controller and the wired controller.
In network connections when you click on bridge for either of the controllers it says to use a bridge you must use two connections that are not being used by internet connection sharing.
If I try to bridge them it sets up a network bridge, but it disconnects the wireless connection.
Then I didn't know how to get it back so I deleted the bridge and it works ok with just the wireless connection.
If I have to have them not use internet connection sharing how do I do that?
Do I run the network connections and set it up as just a single computer on the network.
Does the system see the sprint modem differently than a wireless router?
I think I forgot something that I did when I had the sprint modem.
Does that sound right?
Will any of this affect another computer that is ethernet wired to the wrt54g? ( not the wrtP54g )
