Ive just been out and brought a Sound Maker 5.1 Live after frying my on-board soundcard,
ive installed it but it only plays one application at a time, example
if im playing MP3's in winamp then i dont get any sound from windows or ICQ, or when im playing a game i get no sound from winamp.

never had this problem with my old ****y card
