[RESOLVED] Soundblaster Live! weird problem
I've just bought at Soundblaster Live!
I connected it to the speakers that came with the PC, they're called JBL Pro or something.
I installed the card without problems, but when I was going to listen to it, I heard nothing.
I found out that it only played MIDI files and that sort.
Then I tried to connect the speakers to my old integrated ESS Allegro, and then I was able to listen to wav and mp3s but not midis.
I also tried to delete the drivers for the old card, but that made the PC hang.
What can I do?
Do I have to buy new speakers?

OK let me get this straight..
New Card: only plays MIDIs
Old Card: Plays everything except MIDIs
if that's it, go to your Multimedia control panel, under Audio, and set preferred device to the SBLive card.

It would appear that the system that you put your SoundBlaster Live into has an intergrated sound card.....you may want to disable that through your bios setup first then try your new card....

I changed the preferred card to SB live, and now it works perfect.
Thanks for the help.
