On board sound card problem
I have a motherboard Elite Group P6VXA with VIA 686A/B chipset. This motherboard has an onboard sound card AC97 Audio Realtek ALC100.I download the last drivers from Elite but sound card doesn't workb under Win98SE.When i first switch on my computer after i enable onboard sound in bios, sound card is detected and driver cd is asked. Then it seems that sound card is installed ok but it doesn't work. The strange is that when i boot with Win2000 Pro(a second operating system on the same computer sound works fine).
Note:under Device/System/sound video & Game controllers of Win2000 Pro i have:
Audio codecs,Legacy audio drivers,legacy video capture devices,media control devices,via ac'97 audio controller(wdm),video codecs
But in Win98SE i find only Via AC'97 Audio controller(WDM)
Thank you very much.

Driver Terrier
Try the reference drivers here at Realtek
If not, go to www.viaarena.com and try the via ac97 drivers.
