[RESOLVED] sound card - MPU.401

I have wave artist MPU.401 and the sound goes out a lot with a message saying wave artist is not responding, check hardware. I cannot find a problem there and I have to reboot the computer 2, sometimes 3 times to get the sound to work again and then it may go out when a buddy signs on or I get an IM. Do I have a bad sound card? Help please. Thanks

Verify if your sound card is firmly attached on its slot. Then remove the driver and reset and install it again. If the problem still occurs, then you should probably have to get a new sound card.
