I really need help with installing drivers for Creative Ensoniq 32 PCI sound card
Ok, I just formatted my hard drive and I need to install my sound card drivers. When I boot up the computer, it says "new hardware found" and then it asks me to install the drivers, and so I did. But then it goes normally to windows. It doesnt ask me to restart or it doesnt show the ensoniq mixer at the bottom near the clock. I installed everything and nothing still shows anysign of the sound card working. Please help me.

Right-click on "My Computer" and then left-click on "Properties" then left-click on "Device Manager" tab. Now under the "Sound, video, and game controllers" sub-menu will probably be an exlamation point in a yellow circle which means the driver was not installed properly and is what your scenario sounds like. Single right-click on the sound card listed then right-click on "properties" and goto "driver"...through here you should be able to try to reinstall the driver....try downloading this one...maybe you have the wrong driver.

There is no exclamation mark besides any of them except beside pci serial card. It says under the sound, video, game controller submenu -creative ensoniq, gameport, and audio pcilegacy and thats it-. it doesnt say any exclamation mark. and even after installed i can see the ensoniq mixer at the bottom near the clock. I am runnin on Windows 98.
