Sound card driver for Windows 2000
Last night, I installed Windows 2000 for the first time. But since then, the sound card stopped working. Before that, I used to use Windows 98, but I didn't have any problem with my sound system. I checked device manager, and it said the drivers are unknown. So I need to reinstall drivers for my sound card, but I can' find my sound card drivers for Windows 2000 on any websites. My sound card is GVC D-1156IVT1/R5, HP Model 90079 for Pavilion PC, modem-audio card MDMSM9098-434, 90079-2 "Chameleon", my computer is HP Pavilion 4540. I've been trying Riptide Audio/Modem ComboCard Update .exe file which I found on HP website and I tried cham508.exe which I found Google reserch with keyword GVC D-1156IVT1/R5. Both get error while setting up, and I can't install them.
Would anyone help me to reinstall the drivers? Thank you so much.

MegaMod
The Link Here says that your Pavilion model came with a Riptide Combo card...the Win2000 driver is the first one listed. Have you tried it?
Let us know how it goes...Good Luck!
