[RESOLVED] C-Media on board sound and Win2K?
Has anyone heard of a compatiablity problem with C-Media onboard sound cards and win2k? I have a PCChips M726MRT(www.pcchips.com) Mobo w/Celly 500 processor, and when the system boots it locks up soon after it's finished loading windows, if i disable the soundcard in the bios the unit works just fine(has been running for about 36 hours now) if i reenable it, it will lock up again. Now i let windows update get the driver for the card because the driver disc didn't have support for W2K on it. the unit worked fine before the sound card was initialized as well. Just wondering what you all think, i could just pop a sound card in it but that would be too easy. Also I've installed Service Pack 1 and all of the updates for 2000 from microsoft update. Thanks again
