    Post DVD hanging system

    I just bought an Inteva AMD Athlon 700mhz computer with a DVD. The problem is that my DVD will only run for a couple of minutes before hanging my system. I then have to reboot and start all over. I have a Vortex1 sound card and a Voodoo3 2000 graphics card that came with it. Can anyone please help me?? My wife is aggravating me to death to watch her "Runaway Bride" DVD. I look forward to your answer.

    It is probably a software conflict.
    is the system new ? if you have accuired it
    recently it may be a program you have installed, or possibly drivers need updating.
    I have experienced 2 similar problems on different PC's
    one was solved by updating drivers on videologic card, the other was solved by
    deleting a audio software program,
    The second solution came about by going to
    add,remove programs, deleting everthing,
    retesting dvd which then worked,
    then reinstall one by one and retesting till
    I found the conflicting program.
    A pain but it solved problem.
