Trouble with Tornado GeForce 2 MX 64MB
I uppgraded my pc from the Tornado GeForce 2 MX 32MB version to a 64mb version.
And I was hoping I did not need to install any new drivers.
So wrong I was.
I have tried:
Inno3D's newest drivers.
Nvidias drivers, 6.49, 6.50, 10.5
DX7, DX8, DX8a
No real success.
By disabling the AGP Texture Accelerator in DXdiag, I can now run Unreal Tournament.
I can not however run the direct draw test.
Problems are in my Windows 98 and Win ME.
Now my W98 is f***ed. Safe mode is still accessible.
I have a Asus k7m with latest bios, and an Athlon 550mhz.
Anyone have these problems?
Or tips how to clean out/reinstall direct draw/direct3d. Without having to reinstall WinMe.
I think the problem is in directx area.

Well, I ended up with a new installation of Win Me. And it's now up and running.
I tried the directx uninstall, but it did not help me either.
Thats all,

IRQ's Check your IRQ's and see if there is a conflict with that card. you would have to restart the computer with no card in it. Then read the manual and reserve the right Irq' for the video card.

What I meant it's working now, I did not need to change anything. All I did was to install WinMe again. ;-)
Thanx for the tip anyway.
