[RESOLVED] Dark Screen in games

I have the s3 trio64v2 chip...it is not certified with directx...here is the problem..when I try and play a vidio game the screen is so dark that I can barely see what is going on...How can I fix this?? Any help is greatly apperciated.

I would suggest that it's royally screwed. Oh and internet.com sucks!

Depending on what games you play, sometimes video adjustments can be made under the games video options as well.

Thats what I was going to suggest is to
check under the options in some games..
they have a gamma or brightness setting.
Otherwise you can goto a site like
www.tweakfiles.com
and see if you can find a tweak for the video card.?

I've seen some S3 video card control panels that allowed the user to adjust the gamma for D3D and OpenGL independantly, you might want to see if yours allows you to do this as well, maybe? Basics: Right click on desktop, properties, advanced, click on tab that says whatever you cards name is, make the proper adjustment, click apply then ok. See if it's got these adjustments.
