Intel Pro/DSL 2100 Modem Driver for Win2K

Does anyone know where I can get Drivers for the Pro/DSL modem for Windows 2000?

I have called Intel looking for this driver, they told me they do not support their modems after release, all support is through USWest Megabit, and they do not yet support Win2K as an OS, but say they will SOON, not sson enough but there is hope. If anyone does find a driver please let me know.

Another alternative to consider is to send back the Intel Pro/DSL 2100 and shell out the extra $150.00 for a Cisco 675. The Cisco 675 is an external modem that works through a 10/100 ethernet adapter, and there are plenty of those that work with Windows 2000.

Surpised to see I'm not the only one waiting for the Win2k PRO/DSL driver.

I spoke with USWorst megabit support last night and was told that the rumor there is that they start supporting win2k sometime in May; drivers only being released when they support win2k.

As others have stated, the drivers will come from USWorst and not Intel...

If you own an Intel® 2100 Pro/DSL modem, have either Windows® 95 or Windows® 98 and require additional functionality from your modem, click here for information on how to download the latest Intel® 2100 modem software. You do not need to access this information if you own a Cisco 605 internal modem or Cisco 675 external modem.

Notification on Windows® 2000 Update
Intel® 2100 Internal Modem: Intel® has placed a high priority on the development for Windows® 2000 drivers. However, Intel is still in the process of developing the drivers and has not delivered them to U S WEST yet.

Once U S WEST has received the beta version of the drivers and after they have passed U S WEST expedited lab testing, the software update will be placed on this website. Immediately following this release, U S WEST will begin shipping Intel® 2100 modems with the production-ready software.
